10-year-old Obaid-ur-Rahman has two brothers. However, one of his brothers, Ubaid, stands out because he has memorized the entire Quran at such a young age.
Before joining our program, Ubaid’s father struggled to provide for the family’s daily needs and give his sons a good education. He earned a living by selling fruit from a food cart. Due to their difficult circumstances, he couldn’t afford to send his sons to school, despite their talents and eagerness to learn.
One day, Ubaid’s father learned about Shaagird’s Hafiz sponsorship program from one of its trainees. He saw it as a ray of hope for his sons and enrolled Obaid in our Madarsa. Obaid never imagined that the sponsorship would offer him more than just Quranic education. Along with memorizing the Quran and completing elementary education, he received shelter, regular meals, clothing, emotional support, and an opportunity to thrive in a nurturing environment that could secure a brighter future for him and his family.

Through Shaagird’s Hafiz Sponsorship Program, he found light and hope, overcoming challenges and remaining optimistic about the future. His dream is to take care of his brothers and father, ensuring their well-being and dignity.
