The Shaagird Foundation successfully organized a free medical camp in Mehrauli, Delhi, offering vital healthcare support to the madrassa children. More than 150 of them received medical checkups, treatment, and professional advice during the camp, which was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Aasif Mujtaba, Founder & CEO, the Shaagird Foundation, Dr. Asif, Medical Professional Mohd. Danish, and Ms. Fozia, Project Director of the Shaagird Foundation.

The Shaagird Foundation aims to improve overall societal well-being through its medical camps, driven by the belief that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right for all. The organization is committed to ensuring that comprehensive medical services reach people.
The event started with the speech of Mr. Aasif Mujtaba, Founder & CEO, Shaagird Foundation. Focusing on the awareness of health and well-being, he said, “This effort goes beyond just offering medical care—it’s a powerful reminder of our collective responsibility to protect the dignity, health, and well-being of every person in this community. Sadly, too many individuals are forced to live without the medical support they truly need, simply because they can’t access it. That’s what makes camps like this so important—they help close the gap between people in need and the care they are rightfully entitled to.”
“This camp is designed not just to offer medical care, but also to educate the community about health and hygiene, illness prevention, and the significance of routine health screenings,” he added.

Shortly afterward, Ms. Foziya, Project Director of The Shaagird Foundation, delivered the speech. “Our mission goes beyond offering medical checkups and treatments—we aim to raise awareness about the importance of health and wellness. We want to empower each of you to take charge of your health and live a life full of vitality and well-being,” she said.

Following this, a fun activity was conducted to make the children welcomed and loved, various games were organized. The intention of the game was also to check the physical health of the children for better treatment.
“I have never had so much fun in my entire life; this was such a great day,” said a group of children in chorus with excited tones.

Soon, a long queue formed for the health check-ups. Each child was examined thoroughly and provided treatment based on their specific needs. Common ailments identified included flu, eye infections, and mild fever.
“I’m glad I received a proper check-up and was treated with such kindness and care. I’ll make sure to take my medicines on time and look after my health.” said Aarif, a child from the madrassa.

“I had been feeling a bit tired for the past few days, and I’m really glad to have received the medicines now.” said Mohammad, another kid from the madrassa.
As the event drew to a close, the Shaagird Foundation delighted the children with a surprise takeaway kit. The kit included basic essentials like a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, and hair oil, along with a few healthy snacks, thoughtfully packed to bring a smile to their faces.
About the Shaagird Foundation: At Shaagird Foundation, we fight for a world where education isn’t a privilege but a birthright. We act as changemakers, paving the way for marginalized children in India, removing the barriers that exclude them from classrooms and opportunity.
We believe every child holds the potential to create a meaningful change in society, a potential that burgeons with the power of knowledge. Our mission is to rekindle that spark within, empowering children impacted by dehumanization acts, communal violence, and those from underprivileged communities. We work tirelessly to transform the distant dream of quality education into a vibrant reality.
By providing access to education, we empower these young minds to become the torchbearers of their own lives and the future leaders of our nation. We opine that together, we can build a more inclusive, equitable society, one bright mind at a time.
