From Timid Boy To Rising Star: Zubair’s Journey Of Cricket And Confidence

A fourteen year old boy Zubair hits a century in the playground of Sunrise Public School. He aspires to become a cricketer. Zubair was a timid boy when he first crossed the thresholds of Sunrise Public School. With each boundary he cleared, each run he stole, Zubair’s confidence grew.

Sunrise Public School is not just a place of textbooks and exams for him. It is a vibrant colour in a world that sometimes feels a little monochrome. From drawing competitions where artists paint the world to the club of drama, he participates in all the activities.

Taking inspiration from MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, he practices cricket everyday. Annual day is the highlight of his school life, But he also knows the significance of education.

Young budding cricketer Zubair sits in the classroom of Sunrise Public School and learns to solve mathematical problems, practicality of computer application and linguistics. Along with hitting runs, he hits the highest marks in Math. 

He sees Sunrise Public School as a ray of light at the end of the tunnel. He never fails to complete his homework. When stuck somewhere, he takes help of his brother Dawood, who is also a student of Sunrise Public School. Dawood wrote his board exams a few months ago and will continue his studies with the assistance of the Shaagird Foundation.

At home he plays with her little sister Sarah and teaches her poems. Her sister is a student of class nursery in the same school. Zubair is not an ordinary boy; he is the rain on a sunny day.

Zubair shares a unique bond with his mother.  He  pours his heart out to her, every worry and every hope. It was his mom, after all, who had planted the seed of cricket  in his heart, a dream that had blossomed into his own burning ambition. 

His father, Noor Alam, is the motivational force behind the success of the family. He helps the members in whatever way he can.Zubair sees the playground of Sunrise Public School to be like his favourite cricketers. He embarks on a journey of education and skill development.
