From Darkness To Sunrise: Armaan’s Story

So, things are really bad at the moment, right? The world’s gone to pieces, and everything’s dark and gloomy. But don’t worry, because there’s a ray of sunshine in the streets of Loni, Ghaziabad . His name is Armaan and he’s the jolliest, happiest kid you’ll ever meet. He’s always so full of energy; it’s like he’s powered by sugar and caffeine.

A young kid named Armaan learns how to find happiness again after experiencing a heartbreaking loss. Mischievous Armaan holds stories that are horrific enough to rip one’s heart and shake the universe.

Little Armaan lost his father when he was just a tender-hearted 3-year-old. Too young to understand the horror, he couldn’t comprehend the lynching of his father, Jamal Uddin, during the Delhi Pogrom of 2020.

The traumatic event left 3-year-old Armaan speechless. His struggle to accept reality made him withdrawn, constantly yearning for his father. Devastated, he continued to sleep like a toddler, unable to untangle the nightmare that unfolded before him.

However, his life took an unexpected turn. He began to awaken from the slumber of sadness, and the sun of his life rose again, casting its bright rays upon him once more.

He saw the sun of his life rise again at Sunrise Public School, a place established by the Miles2Smile & Shaagird Foundation to help underprivileged children receive an education.

At Sunrise, Armaan explores new things, embracing a life meant for his age. He reads the English alphabet with curious enthusiasm, winning hearts with his spirit. His laughter echoes through the quiet corridors of the school, lighting up the entire building.

His tiny feet kick the football with his best friend, Ibrahim, as he dreams of becoming a footballer. His mischievous personality is what makes him special. Sunrise Public School and the Shaagird Foundation are healing the scars he never deserved.

His school has become a sanctuary where he embraces life’s realities and laughs freely. The past shadows have faded, replaced by a vibrant palette of life’s experiences, thanks to the support of the Shaagird Foundation. Armaan’s life now shimmers with beautiful colors.

The Shaagird Foundation wishes the best to Armaan!
